Our History is the Heart & Soul of What We Do
Families Choice Home Care is made up of a team that has deep, personal experience with home care services. This understanding fosters the passion we have for enriching the lives of our clients and their families. We choose to treat them as extended members of our own family, and for good reason.
Before opening the doors at Families Choice, our president and CEO, Ken Ingram, served as the Chief Information Officer at the Children’s Oncology Group in Arcadia, California. That role was instrumental in understanding how vital high-quality, heart-centered caregiving was to patients and their families.
Then, Ken was diagnosed with cancer. At that point, his wife, Nancy (also our Office Administrator), stepped in to become his primary caregiver throughout his treatments. Ken knows he would never have experienced the level of care and quality of life he received if he and Nancy hadn’t had access to the highest-quality home care available.
Nancy has a first-hand understanding of an extended team of caregivers’ critical role, and how their personalities must be carefully matched to the client’s and household’s needs.
It’s that level of care, an extension of the heart and soul of our licensed and trained caregiving team, that keeps the Families Choice team personally connected to our clients and their families.
What Sets Us Apart
We go above and beyond to remain in contact with clients by scheduling weekly, in-person, supervisory visits from our Caregivers’ Supervisory Team.
While we value the digital technology that allows us to remain in continuous communication, nothing replaces actual face-to-face contact. These visits allow our supervisors to gain a more profound and comprehensive insight into the clients, their current care plan, what’s working (or what isn’t), and the clients’ changing needs, so that we can make recommendations and changes to continue delivering the highest quality of care.
