24-Hour In-Home Senior Care
If you or your loved one needs round the clock care, we’re here to make life easier for you. This service is different from live-in care, when the same caregiver may move in with you or your loved one on a permanent basis.
Here’s how our 24-hour home care service works:
- A team of six to eight caregivers rotate shifts throughout the week.
- Each shift may be about six to eight hours.
- The time may be used to care for you or your senior loved one, or to provide respite care for the primary caregiver.
- 24-hour services can be personalized to your loved one’s needs and adapted as needed.
- Services include the options mentioned above such as companionship, transportation, light housekeeping, and meal prep.
Senior Home Care Assessment Process
We know that every client is unique. That’s why we conduct an in-depth assessment process. It allows us to tailor our services to meet your specific needs.
To initiate the assessment process, we meet with you, your aging loved one, and other family members. We’ll talk over lifestyle, medical conditions, and health care requirements. Topics we might cover during this meeting include:
- The range of services we offer
- Matching with the right home caregiver
- Daily routines
- Health, medication, and nutrition concerns and issues
- Home cleaning challenges
- Transportation
- Service cost
Once we have covered these things together, we can evaluate the scope of care that you or they might need. We will develop a care plan that gives peace of mind to every member of your support network and care team.

Companion Aide and Hospice Companion Aide Certified
With Families Choice Home Care, you’re hiring reliable industry professionals who are among the most skilled in their field. We run a background check screen for people who are friendly, honest, and caring to be our caregivers.
Once hired, we continue to provide our care professionals with in-house developmental opportunities to improve their caregiving skills.
Families Choice Home Care caregivers have exclusive access to Certified Companion Aide (CCA®) and Certified Hospice Companion Aide (CHCA®) training programs:
- The CHCA® specialized training program was specially designed by a hospice nurse.
- The CCA® designation indicates elevated skills, knowledge, and industry status, conferring the highest standards of caregiver professionalism.
- Caregivers with this training can more effectively assist patients and hospice nurses with end-of-life care through education on death and dying.
- Training recipients are more prepared for the emotional toll that comes with caring for the terminally ill.
As a result of this training, Families Choice Home Care caregiving professionals are guaranteed to continue setting the bar for in-home senior care.
