If someone has Medi-Cal and qualifies for in-home care services, Kaiser Permanente will assist them in finding the services they need. Families Choice Home Care is an approved Medi-Cal vendor, meaning we can provide these essential services once eligibility is determined.
Respite Care Services

Medi-Cal members with Kaiser Permanente coverage may be eligible for in-home care services based on their health and personal needs. If you or a loved one require respite care, personal care, or homemaker services, Kaiser Permanente and Families Choice Home Care will assess eligibility and coordinate services.

Medi-Cal Expands Access to Care
Medi-Cal provides free or low-cost health coverage to low-income individuals and families across California. In recent years, the program has expanded to cover a larger and more diverse group of people. As of January 1, 2024, immigration status is no longer a factor in Medi-Cal eligibility, making more Californians eligible for coverage.
